Who We Are
FRUITSEC COOPCA
Passionate about nature, we offer you a choice of organic dried fruits and vegetables that we select with the greatest care to offer you exceptional quality.
We are a cooperative society of fruit dryers from Cameroon “FRUITSEC COOPCA”. It is made up of men and women from the agricultural production and processing sector.
It is made up of men and women from the agricultural production and processing sector. The idea comes from the observation of the loss of more than 50% of fruits and vegetables at harvest time and during transport to markets. In addition, most of these fruits are seasonal. However, drying is an excellent method for preserving fruits and vegetables for several months.
Processed in family units in Foumbot, Loum, Douala, Yaoundé, all the dried fruits and organic herbal teas from FRUITSEC COOPCA that you will find on the shelves contribute to the promotion of women’s work, the development of agriculture and the reduction poverty in rural areas. We have an environmental, economic and social impact. The tribal communities in our areas of activity are stakeholders in the development of our activities. 10% of our profits are invested in social projects to support local development and ensure the health and well-being of populations. Because maintaining biodiversity is a major concern, we aim to plant 5,000 fruit trees by 2025 and support more than 300 households in rural areas.

The members of the cooperative belong to groups and peasant organizations for the most part distributed in the agricultural basins of the regions of the littoral, West, North-West, South-West and the Center for the moment.
Family farmers and small producers own plots of 0.5h to 5ha. Fruits and vegetables are produced in own cultivation (such as “smooth cayenne” pineapple, papaya solo, mango). Other crops such as bananas, vegetables (Vernonia, Lemongrass, Ginger) are also grown between other crops in a generally natural way but respecting the specifications of organic farming.

- Small producers are supervised and structured by our professionals to increase their income
- Marketing is ensured by the Network. The collection or packaging center for distribution and export is located in Douala (head office). The distribution is grouped after meticulous sorting and controls.
- Processing: Each group has a gas dryer manufactured with a nominal capacity of 250 kg of fresh produce per drying cycle.
- The dryers are manufactured locally by food process engineers from the cooperative under the supervision of the company Target
- FRUITSEC COOPCA is committed to paying 10% of its profits to producers in the form of financing social projects.
The cooperative operates in large production basins mostly present in isolated villages.
This orientation makes it possible to have a better quality of fresh products, reduces the carbon footprint and facilitates the traceability of products.
